What is the rule for a goal in football

In football, the following are the main rules regarding what constitutes a goal:

Ball Crossing the Goal Line: The most fundamental requirement for a goal is that the entire ball must completely cross the goal line, which is the line between the two goalposts and beneath the crossbar at the opposing team's end of the field. It doesn't matter if it's a slow roll or a powerful shot; as long as every part of the spherical surface of the ball has passed over the goal line within the goal frame, it can be considered a potential goal.

Lawful Play: The goal must be scored during a legal play. This means that the goal-scoring action should not be preceded by a foul committed by the team that scores. For example, if a player commits a foul such as a tackle from behind, a handball, or offside before the ball enters the goal, the goal will be disallowed.

No Offside Offense: If an attacking player is in an offside position when the ball is played by a teammate and then participates in the play that leads to the goal, the goal will not count. However, as mentioned before, there are specific situations where a player in an offside position is not penalized, such as when receiving a goal kick, corner kick, or throw-in.

No Handball by the Goal-Scoring Team: A goal cannot be scored directly as a result of a deliberate handball by a player of the team that scores. If a player uses their hand or arm to control the ball and then scores, the goal will be disallowed. But if the ball accidentally touches a player's hand or arm and then goes into the goal, and the player did not gain an unfair advantage from the touch, the goal may be allowed.

No Outside Interference: The goal should not be the result of interference from outside the field, such as a spectator, an animal, or any other object that enters the playing area and affects the movement of the ball into the goal. If there is such interference, the referee may decide to disallow the goal and restart the game in an appropriate way.

Once a goal is scored, the referee signals it by blowing the whistle and pointing to the center of the field, indicating that the goal is valid and the game will be restarted with a kick-off from the center circle.
